Nixon in China in History and On Stage: University of Oregon and Eugene Opera team up on the 40th anniversary of Nixon’s trip to China

EUGENE, Ore. -- (Feb. 6, 2012 ) – February 2012 marks the 40-year anniversary of the 1972 trip to China by President Richard Nixon and national security advisor Henry Kissinger that ended decades of mutual isolation between the U.S. and China. For the occasion, and in conjunction with a Eugene Opera production of John Adams’s Opera, “Nixon in China,” the University of Oregon will present a series of events including lectures, panels and an exhibition.
UO Law among 'Best Schools for Public Service'

EUGENE, Ore. -- (Feb. 6, 2012) – The National Jurist, a leading national magazine in legal education, has recognized the University of OregonSchool of Law as a top school for students pursuing public interest law.The article, "Best Schools for Public Service," was published in the January 2012 issue of The National Jurist and features law schools with "a proven track record of producing graduates for the different segments of public service."
